In 2008 Axial introduced its first SCX10 as a builder's kit that avoided the technical hurdles of scratch-building. Scale trail enthusiasts could focus their attention on other things, like visually personalizing their rig. The SCX10 chassis platform proved to be a highly effective driving machine. Standout features included an all-metal twin C-channel frame, solid transmission, and axles with realism and capabilities to match. 

With the SCX10 II, Axial kept the essence of the SCX10 and its metal frame rail chassis, but added scale AR44™ high pinion axles, a chassis-mounted servo, redesigned transmission, front mounted battery tray, all aluminum suspension links, suspension designed for nearly zero bump steer, and more. 

These are some of the features that make the SCX10 II optimized for performance. Now, with the Raw Builder's Kit version, you can drive a machine that's as personal as it is capable!

Chassis: Scale steel C-channel side rails with adjustable body mount,
adjustable bumper mounts with swaybar mounting points, mounting
points for optional 2-speed and servo winch, adjustable CMS
(Chassis Mounted Servo) system (servo not included), additional
holes aaded to rear frame section for wheelbase adjustments
Drive: Full time 4WD locked drivetrain with WB8 HD Wild Boar
driveshafts, UVJ style front driveshafts for up to 45° of steering
angle, full ball bearing drivetrain
Slipper Clutch: Dual slipper design uses a pad on each side of spur
gear for added surface contact area, 32p gearing for high torque
applications
Transmission: All metal gear AX10 three gear layout, metal motor
plate, adjustable ratio for high speed or competition level
crawling speed
Differentials: Bevel gear 30T/8T
AR44 Hi-Pinion Axle: Pinion gear is 6mm above center for added ground
clearance and better driveshaft angles, high pinion design has
increased surface contact for greater durability, single piece
axles with molded truss for extreme durability, helical CNC cut
internal gears, sintered metal single unit ring/gear locker
CNC cut pinion gear, optimized 3.75 gear ratio for reduced torque
twist
Battery Tray: Easy access front mount, accomodates batteries up to
5.75 x 1.2" (147 x 32mm) 3S, 5000mAh, with battery posts in
position dimensions are reduced to 5.4 x .94" (138 x 24mm)
Suspension: Optimized suspension geometry with integrated mounts
upper and lower aluminum links, 4-link design reduces axle steer
and torque twist, and guards against suspension wrap-up in high-
power applications, all steel links
Shock Type: Coil over, oil-filled
Wheelbase: Mounting hardware to build an 11.4", 12", or 12.3"
