Description

JConcepts releases revolutionary 1/8th rear wing with adjustable gurney and JConcepts dynamic flare. Aerodynamics is a key point on any vehicle and in particular, 1/8th off-road vehicles. A drivers aero package consists of the vehicle type, body style and finally the finishing touch, the rear wing. JConcepts regularly experiments with aero features throughout the entire product line, primarily bodies and wings. The Illuzion HD wing has been a regular on the racing circuit since its introduction in 2007 and the Punisher wing a favorite since 2010. For the 2012 IFMAR World Championships, JConcepts, together with their pro racing team of drivers, developed a new high-performance, adjustable rear wing for 1/8th racing. The Finnisher Wing features a high-attack, V-angle design with adjustable gurney and winglet options. A radical, edgy design which functions and compliments the Finnisher and Silencer body design, the new wing includes elements and features never seen before in 1/8th Off-Road. An option gurney or winglet is easily added to the wing with one simple 3x8mm screw. The wing can be run stock with a small winglet which provides some edge stability and light deflection. The included optional 2-piece gurney slides in through the bottom on both sides adding that small vertical wall at the rear providing that last bit of tuning ability on dusty and low grip conditions. The wing to vehicle attachment is made easy with included, screw-in type and body-clip type wing button choices adding security and additional detail. Top off the appearance of the Finnisher by applying the pre-cut decal wrap on each panel surface for the ultimate look and performance. The recessed side-dams, introduced by JConcepts, provide a great placement area for included decals. In addition, the wing includes one of a kind pre-dimpled markings for exact fit locations on 6 popular 1/8th buggies (Associated, TLR, Mugen, Kyosho, XRay and Agama). Simply find your vehicle of choice and ream the hole to vehicle fit specifications and the Finnisher is ready to hit the track. Finnish the competition with JConcepts.

Instruction sheet for Finnisher Wing S1 – Start by locating the wing mounting positions for your vehicle of choice. AE = Team Associated RC8, TLR = 8ight, M= Mugen MBX-6, K = Kyosho MP9, XRay = XB9, AG = Agama A8. Locate the vehicle initials and follow the corresponding radius line to a small center-point mark and ream or drill a small hole to position your wing. The larger outer diameter circle represents a recommended hole size for that vehicle. Note - Take extra time to make sure your hole size and position is accurate before reaming to the finished position. S2 – Install the small winglets on each side of the wing using the supplied 3x8mm flat head screw. Note - These can be removed later in favor of the gurney option but the winglet option is recommended as the starting setup. S3 – Carefully install Finnisher wing decal wrap to each panel of the wing. Note - Decal will over-lap your wing mounting locations so be sure to carefully trim decal away to expose the mounting locations once again. Installing the gurney option – Before installing the gurney, it’s necessary to trim the small ribs which are located in the slots near the rear of the wing. The ribs are designed to allow clean and neat cuts while using a hobby knife. Position the wing upside down to expose the rib-cut features and carefully slice off the rib connectors in all locations. Once all the connectors are removed the gurney can be attached using the 3x8mm flat head screws. To install the gurney it must be slid in to position from the underside by first inserting the leading, pointing edge toward the inside which locks the inside into position. To finish, rotate the gurney up to align the screw position and thread boss area and secure using the 3x8mm flat head screw. Note – Decal will over-lap the slots so be sure to carefully trim decal away to expose the slots for gurney installation.
